Metia Group joins The Trinity Challenge as global Digital Partner

LONDON – Metia Group has joined international public health coalition The Trinity Challenge as its global Digital Partner. Launched today, The Trinity Challenge brings together leaders from health, tech, pharma, finance and academia, to collaborate in using innovative approaches and shared data resources to build global capabilities to identify, respond to and recover from health emergencies.

The coalition – which includes Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Tencent and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation among over 20 founding members – will provide a platform for the world’s brightest minds to partner with leaders from business, the social sector and academia to collaborate and contribute insights as global public goods.

Led by Dame Sally Davies, the former Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for the UK, The Trinity Challenge will use data and advanced analytics to better predict and prevent outbreaks, epidemics and pandemics, to improve the health, economic and social response, and assist recovery from health emergencies.

The Trinity Challenge calls on participants around the world to submit impact-led ideas and potential solutions to strengthen the global health ecosystem. The Challenge will offer participants support by providing access to people, data and resources from Founding Members, as well as the opportunity to share a £10 million prize.

The list of Founding Members includes: Aviva, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Brunswick Group, University of Cambridge, Discovery, Facebook, GlaxoSmithKline, the Global Virome Project, Google, the LKS Faculty of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong, Imperial College London, the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, Internews, Legal & General, The London School of Economics and Political Science, McKinsey & Company, Microsoft, Northeastern University, Optum, Reckitt Benckiser, Tencent and Zenysis.

As Digital Partner, Metia Group is responsible for delivering the coalition’s digital presence, including creating and managing its website and activating its core target audiences through digital engagement. Metia’s global team of digital experts will work in partnership with founding members, including Microsoft, Google and Facebook to maximize engagement through their various platforms – with a view to attract the brightest minds from business, the social sector and academia to join the initiative.

Dame Sally Davies, Master of Trinity College, at the University of Cambridge and convenor of The Trinity Challenge said: “We need to find new ways of working, new partnerships and new ideas. Working with Metia Group as our Digital Partner has enabled us to bring The Trinity Challenge to a worldwide audience of policymakers, researchers and data scientists, helping to accelerate our path to innovation and collaboration. I thank them for their vision, energy and commitment.”

CEO of Metia Group, Andrew Martin said: “We are delighted to be involved in The Trinity Challenge. It’s an ambitious goal involving the best and brightest of the health, tech and academic worlds.
