This competency is designed for Microsoft technology partners with expertise in developing collaboration and group productivity solutions around Microsoft Office system, including collaboration and messaging, portals and content management, project and process management, and business productivity tools.

Microsoft partners that achieve the Information Worker Solutions competency focus on building collaboration and group productivity solutions in any of the following areas of specialization:

• Portals and Enterprise Content Management: developed for partners specializing in portal solutions using Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server, Windows SharePoint Services and Microsoft Content Management Server.
• Office Smart Client Development: developed for partners who build solutions using XML and Web Services in Office Professional 2003 (including InfoPath), and solutions built using Visual Studio Tools for Office.
