iSOFT, a leading software provider to hospitals and care organizations, needed a new communications platform that would engage with health professionals about the impact of technology on healthcare provision.
Metia designed a community building strategy called Ideaworks; created the new community brand; and built and managed the technical platform infrastructure.
The strategy embraced the best of both online and offline channels. This enabled the program to benefit from the scale and reach of online engagement, allied to the strength of relationships and quality of interaction that can only be achieved face-to-face.
A series of global and national leadership events was planned, supported by the creation of the online community, which enabled healthcare innovators to participate in discussion groups, blogs, videos and news.
Based on the Telligent Community platform, the site is managed by Metia content and community managers who update the site daily with news, content and video updates; and moderate comments from members.
The community is integrated with social media channels including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube to ensure that Ideaworks has a presence at all the main social venues used by healthcare professionals.
