Overall Purpose Statement:
The purpose of this role is to ensure that all production deliverables conform to functional and technical requirements specified in the relevant documentation, and that technical best practices and guidelines have been adhered to. The QA process will include configuration testing, functionality testing, system testing and regression testing.

- Ensure that projects conform to specified functional and technical requirements supplied.

- Work closely with Project Management, Development and Account Management teams throughout the SDLC
Budget responsibility
You will not have direct responsibility for managing a budget.
External relationships
Although this is not a client-facing role, you will be expected to liaise with clients as a functional expert to discuss requirements and technical implementation details.
List of duties & tasks
- Develop and executes automated and manual testing of web applications and interfaces.
- Develops test plans, test cases, and testing estimates alongside the project manager.
- Tracks bugs, runs functional tests, identifies defects, and validates bug fixes.
- Works closely with all project teams to ensure that all applications receive a satisfactory level of testing.
- Investigates and provides solutions to customer problems alongside the project manager.

- Check that links and tags are correct
- Ensure that technical best practice, creative standards and guidelines are adhered to
- Configuration testing, functionality testing, regression testing, integration testing and system testing.
- Promote QA and best practice across the company.
- Administration of Change Management system.
Person Specification
- Wide-ranging experience of web application testing.
- ISEB/ISTQB Foundation in Software Testing
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft .NET development environment, Visual SourceSafe, and SQL Server is required. Working knowledge of C#, XML, and XSLT desired. Knowledge of UML desired.
- Understanding of the SDLC, formal software testing methods and techniques, Change and Release management.
- Agile software development experience.
- Experience executing UAT and triage internally and externally.
- Experience with automated test tools.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- An analytical mind with an interest in problem solving.
- Well organized with attention to detail and strong desire to complete a task.
- Self-starter with the ability to own testing projects.
- Strong team player with a flexible approach.
- Committed to providing quality service and products.
- Ability to work under pressure to fixed timescales on multiple projects.
